Passport Dinner – Friday, April 26, 2019 • 6pm
Set inside a series of transporting dining rooms in the midst of the Tulsa Botanic Garden, our showcase dinner is an immersive journey through one of the world’s most storied culinary regions. From homestyle classics to modernist interpretations, James Beard- and Food & Wine magazine- award-winning chef Jamie Bissonnette (Toro in NYC, Boston, and abroad) will take guests on a 6-course tour through the rich, lusty, and exotic cuisines of Spain and Portugal. For one night, feast on heirloom vegetables from small and family farms, line-caught fish, heritage breed meats, wild herbs foraged from the garden, and rare spice blends, all assembled with thought, love, and innovation. Porto-based cookbook author Gabriella Opaz, an artisanal food expert from Boston’s legendary Formaggio Kitchen, and Botanical! Creative Director Rob McKeown will be present as our table-side hosts.
This night is also about collaboration. Local and national partners in taste and product include Agruity, Glacier Chocolates, Thrist Wine, Formaggio Kitchen, Heritage Foods USA, Beautiful Rice, and several area farms to be announced. We are also honored to feature and support the students and Professors of OSU IT Culinary as our producing partners in the kitchen and dining room.
This exclusive dinner with chef Jamie Bissonnette is limited to 200 guests.
Dinner is $1,500 per person, with proceeds benefitting Tulsa Botanic Garden.
